Brazil Cerrado coffee occupies a singular position in the specialty world. Grown across the undulating plateau of the Cerrado Mineiro. A UNESCO-recognised biosphere and Brazil’s first protected coffee-producing region. This lot encapsulates everything that has earned Brazil Cerrado its global reputation as a reference-point origin. At altitudes between 800 and 1,300 metres above sea level, the savanna’s distinct wet and dry seasons create ideal conditions for concentrated cherry development and a natural sweetness that no other region quite replicates.
Produced by seasoned growers whose expertise spans generations, this Brazil Cerrado coffee underwent a traditional natural process. Cherries sun-dried whole on raised beds, allowing the fruit to impart its full body and inherent sweetness directly into the bean. The result is a cup defined by a heavy, enveloping structure: deep notes of dark chocolate lead, followed by the warmth of toasted walnut and a long, clean finish of brown sugar. The acidity sits intentionally low, making this an exceptionally approachable and crowd-pleasing expression of what great Brazilian naturals are capable of.
This lot earned a score of 84 points from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), placing it firmly within specialty grade. The Cerrado Mineiro region of Minas Gerais state is home to more than 4,500 coffee farms and was the first region in Brazil to receive official Geographic Indication status, back in 2005. At V60 Labs, we source our Brazil Cerrado exclusively from producers who adhere to strict post-harvest protocols. Because the specialty coffee clients we serve across the Middle East expect nothing less.
